THE VEGAS PROJECT
In 2016, I photographed nine iconic neon signs at The Neon Museum Las Vegas. Not for nostalgia — but to document cultural artifacts before they disappear.
In 2025, I returned to the project with intensive historical research. What I discovered changed everything: civil rights milestones erased from tourism narratives. Women designers written out of sign company records. Immigrant entrepreneurs whose 60-year legacies were reduced to "vintage Vegas."
These photographs are now supported by comprehensive research — transforming fine art into museum-quality cultural documentation.
Art That Gives Back
10-15% of every sale supports The Neon Museum Las Vegas preservation programs.
This isn't charity — it's a sustainable model where fine art, commerce, and cultural preservation align. When you collect this work, you become a conservation partner.
"I photograph people and objects on the margins — not for nostalgia, but because their stories reveal systems of power, resilience, and cultural transformation. These signs are cultural artifacts as significant as the cathedrals Denise Scott Brown compared them to."
— Ludo Cazeba, 2025
